oh...Marvelous Designer3... why? I was ready and willing to pay. It is not that I did not like the new colours or the ease and simplicity of the new interface... but really? Did it cost that much to put them in there? So much that you also had to strip the basic version from functions, forcing me to buy the advanced to get the functions I am used to? Oh, I am sorry, did I say buy? I meant "rent", because it is an annual fee. How very "Adobe-esque". Now, the "rent" for one year is 3 times what I paid for MD2, does this mean that MD3 is 3 times better than MD2?... every year? no... not really. Oh, that is right; I can buy a "perpetual" version... for 5 times what I paid for MD2, but then I have to pay $275 for any "major upgrades"... whatever that is...   I do not want to be one of those people who complains, and I really want to support MD because it is an amazing and fun program.

...I will continue to use MD2 for a while and think this through...

It is a big day. Extrasolar just turned 3 and in just a few hours it is Ryan's birthday!!! Go to his page and wish him a happy birthday!

  

The years ago and I had a little idea. It turned out to be a "Big Bang" that gave birth to the Extrasolar universe. It has expanded beyond our wildest dreams since then. We both have a very zen- like approach to it – we follow wherever the Extrasolar river takes us – very, very slooooooowly  

To celebrate we have a new and updated version of "Origin". We made some changes and are moving around some events.

We hope you will like it. Origin takes place on planet "Orion" in the Pi3 Orionis solar system, 500 years after "A New Beginning."

Planet Orion, second planet from the main sun in the Pi3 Orionis solarsystem...
He sat patiently and waited in the shadows outside the children school building. It was a pyramid shaped complex, in the middle of the Boeotian jungle. Tall trees shadowed most of the buildings, but further away towers of shell white concrete and glass reached above the roof top of the dense forest. He envisioned the inside of the building in his old mind. It was difficult to hold the thoughts, they floated away and got dimmed. So old. So far from home. He knew that she was in there.

Ryan and I were interviewed by 3D Art Direct and ExtraSolar got it's own feature!!   There are no words that can describe how happy I am.

I am so proud of our little project and Ryan and I are having so much fun with it. Answering the questions from 3D Art Direct made me realize how complex it is and how far we have come.
